Between 1996 and 2022, the former ‘vfg Young Talent Award (NWFP)’ honoured ten outstanding talents in the field of photography each year. Following the merger of the vfg with the SBF and the uspp to form SIYU professionelle fotografie schweiz, the time has come in 2025 to relaunch the prize again as the SIYU AWARD. An independent association was founded to organise it. This is supported financially and logistically by the SIYU and individual sections - thus underlining SIYU's claim to sustainably promote young photographers in Switzerland and help young talents gain visibility. 

February 1, 2026 is the date: The SIYU AWARD will be presented once again. The team is delighted that, starting in 2026, the SIYU AWARD will be able to award the newly created Alois Ottiger Grant – divided into prize money and production contributions. More
