photo basel will take place from 16 to 21 June 2026 at the Volkshaus Basel, running concurrently with Art Basel. As Switzerland’s first and only art photography fair, photo basel is dedicated exclusively to art photography and has established itself in recent years as a major international platform for galleries, artists, collectors and photography enthusiasts.

The fair sees itself as an inclusive and hybrid platform that connects players in the art world both online and on-site. The focus is on contemporary approaches to art photography and the dialogue between artists, galleries, institutions and the public.

Over the past decades, photography has increasingly established itself as an independent art form in international museums and collections and today forms an important part of recent art history. photo basel aims to actively shape this cultural dialogue and help make art photography accessible to a wider audience.

The venue is the Volkshaus Basel, Rebgasse 12–14, 4058 Basel, Switzerland.
